Easter holds special memories for many people. Traditions, family and friends, good food and great fun. The squeals of children's joy as they find another hidden egg. At Medicalodges Nevada residents did not color eggs in the traditional manner but rather used colored rice and had some outstanding results! It doesn't get much better than coloring eggs, the egg hunt, a visit from the bunny and cookies!

Ready! Set! Match!
The Eudora Resident Council requested a competitive game of staff vs resident volleyball at least once a month. March's volleyball game crushed the staff's day as the residents ran away with the WIN with a score of 15-7. This month, however, the staff and residents played a tough game and staff came out on top with a 15-13 Win. Resident's were overheard planning strategies and looking forward to their next rematch.

Ever wonder where the tradition of hunting easter eggs originated? It is believed the Easter bunny first arrived in America in the 1700s with German immigrants who settled in Pennsylvania and transported their tradition of an egg-laying hare called “Osterhase” or “Oschter Haws.” Their children made nests in which this creature could lay its colored eggs. The tradition of coloring, hiding and hunting eggs has been a long time favorite tradition of many, including the residents and staff at Butler. Check out all the smiles on a beautiful afternoon of fun, games and treats. ...
